Gebruiksvoorwaarden

Regels voor eerlijk spel en voor de ideeën en suggesties die je ons stuurt.

This English version is provided for convenience only. The German version is legally binding.

1. Scope and Provider

These terms of use apply to the online game Front-Risk, this website and its related features (forum, chat, support, feedback forms), and to the community channels we operate, such as the official Front-Risk Discord server. The terms of the respective platform operator apply there in addition.

The provider is:
William Comploi
Unterberg 59
6835 Dafins, Austria
Email: front-risk@gmx.net

Paid offers are not covered by these terms. How we process personal data is described in the privacy policy. Mandatory statutory rights, in particular those you have as a consumer, remain unaffected by these terms.

2. Fair Play: Cheats, Bots, Mods and Plugins

2.1 What is not allowed

Front-Risk should stay fair for everyone. In particular, you may not use or do the following:

  • cheats, hacks, trainers or other programs that give you information or abilities the game does not provide;
  • bots, macros, scripts or any other automation that performs in-game input on your behalf. The computer-controlled players offered by Front-Risk itself are not affected by this;
  • without our consent under 2.2: modifying the game client, injecting code, or intercepting, altering or forging the traffic between your device and our servers;
  • deliberately exploiting bugs or exploits to gain an advantage or to harm others;
  • manipulating ratings and leaderboards, for example by arranged matches;
  • circumventing technical protection measures or bans.

2.2 Mods, plugins and your own programs

Any modification of the game, the game client, the traffic between your device and our servers or the game data by your own programs, mods, plugins, scripts or browser extensions is prohibited without our prior express consent. This also applies to modifications that give no gameplay advantage, such as a self-made new aircraft type. Whether we permit a modification is at our own discretion; you can ask by email. We may revoke a permission at any time; from the revocation onwards the modification is no longer permitted.

Even a modification we have permitted may only be passed on free of charge. Selling, renting, paywalls, subscriptions, mandatory donations for access or any other commercial exploitation of mods, plugins or other extensions for Front-Risk are not permitted without our prior written consent (an email is sufficient). You may accept voluntary donations as long as the extension remains fully accessible to everyone without anything in return and a donation grants neither earlier access nor additional content or any other advantage.

Not affected are tools that alter neither the game nor the client, the traffic or the game data and give no advantage, for example screen recording and streaming software or the accessibility features of your device or browser.

2.3 Reporting bugs – explicitly welcome

If you find a bug, we are glad to hear about it – via support, the feedback form after a match, or by email. Reproducing a bug as far as needed for an understandable report does not count as exploiting it. Please do not share bugs that could harm others with third parties before we have been able to fix them. Reporting a bug will never be held against you.

2.4 Consequences of violations

If you violate this section, we may – depending on severity, duration and repetition, and taking your legitimate interests into account – take the following measures:

  • a warning;
  • removing or technically blocking an unauthorised modification;
  • deleting or correcting match results, ratings, leaderboard entries and game progress obtained through the violation;
  • a temporary or, in serious cases, permanent suspension of the account.

We choose the mildest measure that is sufficient. Where we have a contact address, we will inform you of the measure and the reason for it. If you believe a measure is wrong, write to us at front-risk@gmx.net and we will review the case again.

2.5 Copyright and legal action

The program code, graphics and other content of Front-Risk are protected by copyright. The rights belong to the provider unless they belong to third parties. Interfering with the code, for example by modifying the client or distributing modified versions, may therefore infringe copyright in addition to violating these terms.

We reserve the right to take legal action in case of violations, in particular to demand that the conduct cease and to claim compensation for damage actually incurred in accordance with the statutory provisions. A claim for damages exists only if its statutory requirements are met and the damage is proven; the fact that we consider a modification harmful is not sufficient on its own. No lump-sum contractual penalty is agreed.

2.6 Self-made mods and ideas taken from them

A self-made mod, plugin or other program of your own does not give rise to any claim that we adopt it, pay for it or credit you for it. The idea behind a mod is covered by section 3: we may implement such an idea ourselves. We only adopt the code, graphics or other content of a mod if you have submitted them to us; they are then covered by the licence under 3.6. We do not adopt a mod that was not submitted as code or graphics – but we may implement the idea ourselves.

3. Ideas, Suggestions and Feedback

3.1 What this is about

Many improvements to Front-Risk start as suggestions from players. This section applies to ideas, suggestions, feedback and other contributions to improving or shaping the game that you send us – whether or not we asked for them, and however you send them, for example in the forum, on Discord, in surveys and feedback forms, via support, in chat or by email (together “submissions”). Submissions are voluntary. Please do not send us anything you want to keep secret or only want to share in exchange for payment – in that case, talk to us first.

3.2 Ideas are free

A mere idea – such as a game concept, a rule, a mechanic or a process – is not protected by Austrian copyright law. We may therefore pick up ideas from submissions, change them, develop them further, combine them with our own ideas and implement them in the game – or not implement them.

3.3 No claim to payment, credit or implementation

Submissions and their use do not give rise to any claim to payment, a share or any other consideration, to being credited by name, to a reply or to a suggestion being implemented. This also applies if we later incorporate an idea into the game in whole or in part.

3.4 Voluntary recognition

We may voluntarily recognise particularly helpful submissions, for example with an amount of money, with in-game gold or with a mention. Whether, when, to whom and in what form we do so is at our sole discretion and decided case by case. Even repeated recognition does not create a legal claim for the future, and recognition does not oblige us to implement the suggestion or to credit you.

3.5 Independent development

We continuously develop Front-Risk ourselves and receive many suggestions. We may therefore already have identical or similar ideas, develop them independently of your submission or receive them from others. A similarity to your submission does not by itself give rise to any claim.

3.6 Protected content in submissions

Some submissions contain more than an idea, for example a fully written text, a graphic, a map, music or program code, and may be protected by copyright as such. Where this is the case, by making the submission you grant us, free of charge, a non-exclusive, transferable licence (Werknutzungsbewilligung) unlimited in time and territory. It allows us to use the content for Front-Risk and its related services, in particular to reproduce, distribute, make available to the public, adapt, modify and incorporate it into the game.

Because the licence is non-exclusive, you remain free to use your content yourself and to make it available to others. You agree that we may use the content without crediting your name, to the extent permitted by law. Your moral rights, to the extent they cannot be waived, remain unaffected.

3.7 Third-party rights

By making a submission you confirm that you created the content yourself or hold the rights necessary to grant us the use described in 3.6, and that the submission does not infringe any third-party rights. Please do not submit other people’s content, such as graphics, music or code from other games.

4. Player Names and Creator Badge

(1) A player name must not give the impression that you are someone else – in particular a well-known person, a streamer or content creator –, a brand or the operator. There is no right to a particular player name; player names cannot be transferred.

(2) We may change player names that violate paragraph 1 or that are reserved for a verified creator; this can also happen automatically. You then receive a temporary name and, on your next visit, a notice stating the reason. You can choose a new name at any time. Your progress, gold, rating and purchased content are not affected. If you believe the change is wrong, you can complain via support; the complaint is reviewed by a human.

(3) Anyone who proves ownership of a Twitch or YouTube channel with at least 11 followers or subscribers can be marked as a creator. The badge only confirms that you control the channel. It is not a rank, gives no advantage in the game and creates no partnership, remuneration or endorsement by us.

(4) We check the requirements regularly. We may remove the badge if they no longer apply – for example if the channel no longer exists or is below the minimum in two consecutive checks – or if it is misused.

(5) A creator can only take and reserve the name of their own verified channel as their player name. If several creators claim the same or a confusingly similar name, we decide in favour of the channel verified first, unless in an individual case (for example on request after review) we assign a different name.

(6) We use the YouTube API Services to verify YouTube channels. Anyone who verifies a YouTube channel agrees to the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms).

5. Contact and Changes

Please send questions about these terms, bug reports, requests regarding mods and objections to measures under 2.4 to front-risk@gmx.net.

The current version of these terms is always available on this page; the date at the top shows when it was last updated. The German version is binding; translations are provided for convenience only.
